Life on the I.S.P.

Greetings Blasters! Max, here. Have you ever wondered what a typical day running the I.S.P. is like? Spaceport is such an enormous ship sailing through the galaxy. That means GC, Monty, and I have a lot of responsibilities to take care of on a daily basis. Since there are so many things going on everyday, I thought I might share my daily routine with you Blasters.

I should mention that on Spaceport we use a 24-hour clock, or “military time”. This means that instead of going back to 1at noon, we continue on to 13. You can convert military time to standard time simply by subtracting all hours after noon by 12. This means that 1300 hours would be 1:00pm. While reading my routine, try to convert the times from military to regular time!

0700 Hours:

0700

Wake up time! My day begins with more rise and less shine, since there is no sunlight in space. Thankfully my handy alarm clock gives me that wake-up call to start my day. I immediate walk over to my Mutt Pod and check on my two adorable Mutts.

0800 Hours:

0800

GC and I check in with Monty and make sure that the ship is running smoothly since the night before. Monty literally knows everything. It certainly makes my job a lot easier! Next time you are in Spaceport, try talking to him. More than likely, he will tell you some type of trivia fact that you had no idea about.

1030 Hours:

1030

Uh-oh, did you just hear the siren for a Red Alert? I cannot believe this is the fourth one just this hour! When I am on duty and hear that first siren, I drop everything I am doing and head to my Red Alert station at the front of Spaceport.

1300 Hours:

1300

After a nice lunch, I like to begin working on my intergalactic math skills at the Math Academy. Usually, I try to choose a game that will not make me too exhausted. Bolt Cruncher is typically my go-to early afternoon game.

1500 Hours:

1500

Now that I have had time to practice some games, it is time to work on training one of my Mutts. We are currently working on developing his super power skill and I am impressed how quickly he is picking it up!

1700 Hours:

1700

Time to monitor the slime levels in the backside of the I.S.P. To save Spaceport from overflowing with yucky bright green slime, I head into Oozami Quest. By using my knowledge of decimal places, I can keep the rapidly increasing slime levels down to an absolute minimum.

1900 Hours:

1900

After grabbing a bite to eat, I take one of my older Mutt’s over to Nebula Knockout to challenge some of their friends to a friendly boxing match!

2100 Hours:

2100

Time to end the day on a lighter note, especially after watching an intense Mutt competition at Nebula Knockout. I go down to the lower levels of the ISP and create some chemical concoctions that turn my fellow Blasters into silly creatures for a short period of time.

That about describes my day at the I.S.P. Things switch around on a day-to-day basis, considering how many random emergencies that come our way, but I try and make sure I at least do these tasks.
